Get to know Coach Charlie! Each month we will sit down with a different Blaine Soccer Club coach and ask them a few questions to get to know them better off the field!
Q: When did you first know you wanted to coach?
Charlie: I first knew I wanted to be a coach when I was at a younger team's training at my home club. The coach asked me if I knew any activities that they could run for finishing and passing. He was impressed and had me come back every week to lead half of his training sessions.
Q: What is the most rewarding part of being a coach?
Charlie: Nutmegging the children. Really though, the most rewarding part of being a coach is witnessing players turn into the players that they could always be and fulfilling their potential. My favorite part of coaching isn't even the soccer part, but witnessing personal development of the players.
Q: When you are not on the field coaching, where can we find you?
Charlie: You can find me playing soccer, DJing and making my own music, or leading my trivia team to occasional victory.
