The Blaine Soccer Club is raising $1500 to support a U15 girl from Haiti who will play in the USA Cup! We need your help.
The Haitian Initiative, a program of The Sanneh Foundation, is bringing a team of 8–12 U15 girls from Haiti to the U.S. this summer as part of their Haitian Exchange program. This is the first time the program will focus on girls. These young ladies have worked hard in both school and on the pitch to become leaders in their community of Cité Soleil, one of the most impoverished and densely populated slums in the world. During the first week, the team will stay with USA Cup families and participate in the tournament. During the second week the girls will relax and have fun at a camp in Alexandria, Minn. It costs $1,500 to bring each young woman to Minnesota for this life-changing experience. Our goal is to raise $1500 to sponsor one player. I want to Thank Shaun Olson and The Blaine Wave U12 C1 Girls for getting the ball rolling!! http://www.razoo.com/story/Blaine-Soccer-Club-Haitian-Initiative-Fundraiser |
